Dining Room
Of all the things I do through the day I think decorating my home is on the top of my list. I love to make my home a welcome place for my family and friends and do quite a bit of entertaining. This blog I created is basically a journal of things that are happening or has happened in my life present and past.My children have requested my recipes in a book and as much as they are on their computers in their homes I felt that sharing them here is better as I have had fun with this also for the past few years. My parents owned an Italian restaurant in Tampa Florida where I grew up and a few of the recipes from Leone's Del Rio are here as well.
Gardening has been a long family tradition in fact my grandfather at 96 took his last breath gardening.. God rest his soul I miss him so.
My art and my career has really come to life here from my blog and have sold many pieces through this blog. As I have said so many times I thank you all who have supported me through the years.
This is my journal in hopes that my children and grandchildren may some day take the time to page through my day to day activities and events in my life and get a glimpse of who Kathleen McQueen is and was.
In closing if this is looked at by any of my grandchildren I would like for you to know something I have said to Celia and Brandon for years.
If you are going to dream .. DREAM BIG.
and
You have the world in the palm of your hand . You can do anything you set your mind to do.
I Love You All

Happy Valentine's Day
Elizabeth Barrett Browning
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of every day's
Most quiet need, by sun and candlelight.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love with a passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

Color My World
(Chicago)
As time goes on I realize
Just what you mean to me
And now, now that you're near
Promise your love
That I've waited to share
And dreams of our moments together
Color my world with hope of loving you
As time goes on I realize
Just what you mean to me
And now, now that you're near
Promise your love
That I've waited to share
And dreams of our moments together
Color my world with hope of loving you
